Bowing in process is as follows:

  1. Line up by rank
  2. Japanese bow to flag out of respect for our country
  3. Japanese bow to head instructor
  4. Japanese bow to Shihan
  5. Japanese bow to Sensei
  6. Go to seiza position
  7. Instructor calls… tie your obi
  8. Come up on balls of feet
  9. Put on obi
  10. Return to seiza
  11. Instructor calls…bow
  12. Formal bow
  13. Return to seiza
  14. Instructor calls…meditate
  15. Meditate
  16. Instructor calls up
  17. Come out of seiza, rise to neutral stance

  17. Come out of seiza, rise to neutral stance
