This writing was given to me by a parent of one of our junior students. The mother said the writing reflected how she felt about our dojo. I briefly read it, thanked her and agreed. Several years have passed and the writing managed to find its way back onto my desk. My mind has grown, insight has sharpened and perception has shifted. This time the message of this writing "hit me right between the eyes".

I am dedicating this prose and its multi faceted, profound message to all of the black belts at our Institute. You have been given, and have developed a very powerful gift. You are the leaders of our future, and you have been charged with the responsibility of growing our youth and guiding our adults. Take this task seriously and to heart, for many years from now you will reap enormous rewards of the heart having had a positive influence in many people's lives.

Today I want to thank all of my Black Belts and Assistant Instructors for their loyalty, dedication, and constant effort in the development of our Institute. You all have been a part of my dream, many of you for decades.
