Special Projects
The Budo Kai Martial Arts Institute has been founded on establishing a positive rapport between our students, with our student's extended families and with members of our community. It has been proven over the ages, that when students share their life experiences and skills, the school grows and strong healthy relationships are fostered. Our goal is to promote student participation and involvement by helping each other in the dojo, and in civic affiliations.
Special projects are one way the dojo is kept running and in good repair by the efforts of the students. It is the ongoing result of a cooperative effort. Everyone combines his or her talents in order to better the dojo. Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, EMS, and Trades: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, printers, computer specialists, legal professionals, and artists all come together and volunteer their professional abilities. Everyone is encouraged to contribute their thoughts, and ideas to help the dojo. If you would like to contribute your knowledge and abilities in helping your dojo, please mention it to your instructor. They will be most appreciative.
If a special project is announced, try to help, even if you can help only a little bit. "Many hands make light work." You will not only better the dojo, but you will also help others who are volunteering. You will gain satisfaction while having a good time with your friends.
Some examples of our special projects are:
- Parents Classes
- Anti-Rape Seminars
- Clothing and Food Drives
- Youth Seminars
- Civic Volunteers
- Weapons Seminars
- Dojo improvements
- Instructor Seminars
- Christmas Parties and other outside events
