Patch Placement and Sundry Items
Here at our Dojo, we take the martial arts very seriously. The patches that a student wears on his/her uniform have significant meaning. It is inappropriate therefore to decorate your Gi (uniform)with patches other than those listed in the following pages. Students however, may wear patches on their street jackets, tote bags, etc.
- Inazuma Ryu Tai Jutsu patch is 2" below right shoulder seam.
- Kumiuchi Ryu Jiu Jutsu patch should be sewn at an angle over the right breast.
- Budo Kai Martial Arts Institute patch should be sewn at an angle over the left breast. The Kumiuchi Ryu patch and the Budo Kai patch should be at the proper angle, so that when the Gi is tied the patchs are level with the floor, and level with each other.
- American Flag patch is 2" below shoulder seam on the left sleeve.
- Instructor or Asst. Instructor, patch is 1/2" below bottom of top patch on the left sleeve.
- Aikido patch is located 2" below Sensei/Instructor/Assistant Instructor Patch on the left sleeve.
- CPR & First Aid trained patch is located 1/2" below Aikido patch on the right sleeve.
- NRA Certified patch is located 1/2" below CPR & First Aid trained patch on the right sleeve.
- ISHH patch is located 1/2 inch below NRA patch on the right sleeve.
As you will notice, however, we do have catalogs and our web site that contain many different patches and accessories, i.e., T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags etc. Please feel free to purchase these quality sundry items.
